What does adventure mean to you and how are you living an adventurous life?

Thinking about adventure and how influential being an adventurous person can be, I was struck by this idea that "adventure" is in everything we decide to do, once we start to take action. I was sitting at my daughter's school for a parent-teacher conference, and that's when it hit me.
Everything is an adventure.
My husband and I are raising our daughter to understand and recognize the value of adventure. Adventure is a value he and I hold dear, and I am happy to say, it's rubbing off on her in a profound way. Sitting in her preschool classroom, in the mini-sized school chairs, made for 4-year-old butts, listening to her teachers gush over how helpful and independent our daughter is, how fierce of a leader she is and how everything is an adventure to her, it was then that I realized that we are doing something right.

Sometimes we feel the need to ask so many questions, to know all the variables, to make sure the "net" is there before we LEAP off into the unknown, but that is all just a tactic to STOP us from making leaps and bounds towards the things we say we want. So the next time you are ready to leap, I dare you to go for it, make it an adventure and live to tell the tale...
